GuideStar Attends PGA 2024 Annual Meeting | December 17, 2024
GuideStar Medical Devices (GuideStar) team member Ryan Ruedebusch attended the 2024 PostGraduate Assembly in Anesthesiology (PGA78) in New York City from December 7-8, 2024. PGA is the second-largest annual gathering of anesthesiologists in the USA, with over 4500 clinicians attending the conference. The event attracts a large contingent of international attendees, and GuideStar was happy to introduce this group to EpiZact and its potential impact on patient safety.
VP Business Development Ryan Ruedebusch commented: “As first-time exhibitors at the PGA show, it was great to introduce EpiZact to a new audience. The traffic at our booth kept me busy, and we look forward to visiting the contacts made at the show soon!”
This conference concludes GuideStar’s exhibitor activities for 2024. GuideStar looks forward to continuing to onboard new facilities through contacts made at conferences throughout 2025.

About EpiZact
Epidurals are performed to provide anesthesia to a patient, by means of injection of medication into the epidural space. Traditionally, epidurals are performed using the “loss of resistance” technique. EpiZact is the first device developed for epidurals that is designed to stop the forward motion of the needle upon sensing a loss of resistance, providing a tactile and visual signal to the user while simultaneously stopping the needle from further advancement, potentially reducing the incidence of accidental dural puncture.
